Weekend Update

I am sorry that I have been a bad blogger of late. Life just seems to be in the way. Imagine that.

Here is the weekend update for the Duer family.

This weekend, the we huddled around the TV and watched a great deal of basketball. We submitted our family picks and Uncle David also joined in. Going into the Sweet 16, Grace is in the lead, followed by Uncle David, Shannon, Me and James. Grace's prognosticating skills are impressive. Yes, she picked USC to beat Texas last night.

James and I didn't get to watch much basketball on Sunday because he had a baseball tournament in Knoxville. They had to play Sunday from the lowest seed because our coach made the decision not to play on Saturday. I applaud his courage to make that call. After all, it was snowing in Greeneville on Saturday and the high wasn't supposed to get much above 40. That is too cold for little kids to be playing baseball. On Sunday, his team won two games (8-0, 13-12) and the 7 & Under division championship. Next weekend when the weather is supposed to be much nicer, we have an indoor tourney. Go figure.
